@matt Well, I'm old enough to know when everyone was typing this out in notepad back in the day with DECtalk, and a single song can take hours typing it by hand. Not sure how benchmarks are created but I'd create one just to see what the results are and compare with different models. I know Opus 5.5 can do it well, I'll see how a GPT model does next perhaps.

@matt For some public domain songs it looked up the sheet music, downloaded it, created a midi from it and then used that for its singing melody.

@matt Nope, it actually crates the midi's on its own, believe it or not. If you want to steer it and have more control, or want a specific sound prompting it with files is the better way.

@danestange Yes, I know they aren't the voices of Vocal Writer. VocalWriter created a technique for its, and other voices, to sing like it, almost like a human, and Singing studio adopted it. I don't think the voices have anything to do with it.

@danestange I think it's using the same technique VocalWriter invented for the other voices.

@kjsapergia The playlists feature was designed for radio streams, not music tracks like mp3s. That said, MP3's should work along with ogg, opus, flac or wma. I also just recently added tracker support, so files like .it, .xm, .s3m, .mod and .mo3 should also work but its untested. Playlists that stream URLs should definitely work though as that is the main core of the feature in case you want to listen to a stream not present in the internal radio directory I have.
