  • New AccessiWeather stable released. https://www.orinks.net/accessiweather/downloads

  • New Freight Fate and accessiWeather snapshots released. For Freight Fate, it just adds a driver directory to the game to sync up with the website to see other driver profiles who aren't online. A more substantial update comes in the next build where CDL record and reputation are quite off. Someone with three serious violations and 6 citations, for example, should not be able to have a reputation of 90+. For AccessiWeather: Changed • The Venice model browser's Provider filter now lists the actual model vendors (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Qwen, DeepSeek, and more) instead of a single Venice entry, so you can narrow the catalog the same way you can with OpenRouter. • The AI settings tab now shows only the key and model fields for the provider you've selected, so switching between OpenRouter and Venice no longer leaves the other provider's controls in the way.

  • What does Suno V6 do with the new simple mode when you add more than one audio track, and tell it to make a genre medley? It made a genre mashup instead, but I'll take it. Freight Fate menu themes mashup

  • @anantagd @brian Guess what? A lot of us don't have the resources to run local AI. Anthropic and OpenAI have the best models, period, full stop. I can disagree with their ethics etc, and I agree with you on principle, but open weights and, by the same token, local AI, has not made the same leaps and bounds the big ones have. I can't do full feature integrations end to end, multi-repo, with Deepseek, Qwen, or Kimi just to name a few. Context windows are too short, among other things.

  • RE: https://mastodon.social/@kellylford/117262147797808324 It is definitely an accessibility tool for me too.

  • New snapshot of AccessiWeather released. The big highlight is Venice AI provider support if OpenRouter is down, slow, etc. OpenRouter tool calling should be more reliable as well, but if your model setting is set on an auto option, it may not pick a reliable model for tool calling support. Venice does not have a setting to choose the best model automatically; note that Venice API access requires a minimum of $10 on your Venice account. When in doubt, stick with OpenRouter. https://orinks.net/accessiweather/downloads Added • You can browse and select Venice text models in AI settings, compare token prices, filter by cost and function-calling support, and check account credit availability when your key permits it. • AI settings now include a Get Venice API key button that opens Venice's signup and API settings page in your browser. • You can choose Venice AI for weather explanations and the Weather Assistant using your own API key and prepaid credits. OpenRouter remains the default, and each provider keeps its own key and model choice. Fixed • Weather Assistant now requests live weather more reliably with Venice and OpenRouter, keeps lookup results for follow-up questions, and receives complete measurements with observation times instead of incomplete weather data. • NWS lookups now follow coordinate-precision redirects instead of unnecessarily falling back to another weather source. • Weather Assistant can find international locations instead of restricting searches to U.S. places with similar names. • Creating a fresh settings file now keeps API keys already saved on your computer available in Settings.

  • RE: https://flipboard.social/@newsguyusa/117256104898043949 What would be even more fasinating is if there will be approach fixes and such in her honor, like there is for DCA into Washington for 9-11. Still, I'm all for this.

  • @kaveinthran It'll be a cross between Steve's Talking Clock, the old clock from Inspired Code, and the Blindsoftware Big Ben clock. And I might get some ideas enspired by Val too.
